Videk vision systems are available in a variety of configurations for reading Datamatrix, DataGlyph, PDF417 and other 2D codes. Images of each document are captured using cameras that are mounted at critical locations in the production process. With 2D codes, the system reads as well as determines the quality of the code printing. The data extracted from the code is used within the vision system for matching code content with other document features, including human readable information. The code results are also output for data collection and for intelligent machine control.
