Application:
Provide personalized document information to inserting or finishing equipment
Solution:
Cameras or other scanning devices are installed on the in-feed of inserters, booklet makers or any number of other intelligent finishing devices. The numbers or codes on the documents are read and the information is sent to the device controller. Documents are then tracked throughout the finishing process to ensure document integrity and proper collation of materials. It is very common for inserters to personalize mailings based on the information provided from the vision system. Videk's InserterVision system is especially useful in this environment due to it's easy to use interface, reading reliability and decode speed. InserterVision's all-in-one" system was originally designed for input scanning, so that companies could continue to utilize their current applications which use OMR and 1-D Barcodes, while migrating to more advanced and robust reading methods such as OCR and DataMatrix. Regardless of the code, the InserterVision system communicates with the finishing equipment much like a barcode reader but is also programmable, offering a flexible solution when replacing many types of reading equipment.
