How it works:
As documents become more personalized, it is extremely important that each mailing contains the correct inserts of personalized information. This is especially true with such high-value documents as complex financial statements and new credit card mailings. With Videk's MatchVision™ system, multiple cameras are used to view specific areas of each mail component. The image is analyzed and then later compared and matched to each separate piece arriving downstream. Human readable data (numbers) can be matched to many other types of data or barcodes. MatchVision can also take input from conventional readers; barcode scanners, magnetic stripe readers or other devices. When a mismatch error occurs from piece to piece, the production equipment is signaled to take action; stop production, flag faulty piece, etc. The inspection results are sent to a data collection system for production control and reporting.
