ROCHESTER, NY - Videk has officially released the InViziCode Print System (IPS-6820) for printing and verifying invisible barcodes on high integrity, high security documents, it was announced today.  Using a breakthrough technology, the IPS-6820 prints invisible machine control codes for intelligent document processing and tracking, yet makes them completely unseen by the unaided human eye.

The InViziCode IPS-6820 is a self-contained system designed to print invisible 2D barcode symbols (InViziCodes) used to track and control downstream document processing, such as in intelligent inserter control for correct document insertion, document and mailpiece tracking, or remittance processing. The coded information to be printed is acquired directly from the print stream via the Océ Type II or the IBM 4720 interface of a continuous-forms production printer. The information is converted to a robust 2D Data Matrix ECC200 symbol and then printed on the document in invisible ink using an ink jet process. Once the code is printed, it is immediately read to verify the quality and accuracy of the printing-a feature not found in traditional visible barcode printing.  In addition, an invisible human-readable form of some or all of the information can be printed along with the Data Matrix InViziCode. The flexible, independently powered IPS-6820 rolls up to the output end of any continuous-forms printer and accommodates both pin-feed and pin-less paper.  InVizi-Readers are used to read the invisible codes downstream on finishing equipment.  Next generation systems will be enabled to print other barcodes, text messages and even highlight color.
