The Videk PVS is a verification system specifically designed to read variable data fields on checks, financial statements, or any continuous form when the verification of printed data is critical. How it works:
Using an embedded DocuVision system, the Print Verification Stand (PVS) captures an image of every document for analysis using Videk's patented Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and symbology reading technology. If the PVS detects a problem-such as inconsistent, missing, or poorly printed characters-a signal is sent to stop production or flag the bad document. Data is sent in real time to the data collection software for subsequent comparison against the original printstream data.
Interface directly to popular Printers:
The Videk PVS interfaces directly with Océ, IBM, Fujitsu, and other popular continuous-form printers. It can handle all popular paper weights in widths up to 20 inches. The friction-fed drive system accommodates both pin-feed and pin-less paper.
