Videk's InserterVision system captures the image of a unique number or code on a document. This number acts as a "look-up" number for the ink jet controller's database. The look-up number is sent to the controller, the controller performs the task of document tracking, and after insertion is complete, prints the envelope with the corresponding name and address information. Address integrity is guaranteed because the envelope is printed based on the information from the insert. Optionally, a second camera can be used to read the same number or code on the envelope and match it to the code from the insert, offering an additional guarantee.
