Videk is seeking an Applications Engineer I to add to its Customer Technical Support (CTS) team. This remote position is based in Dallas, TX, requires up to 50% travel, and reports to the Applications Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Installation of vision systems according to detailed electrical and mechanical schematics.

  • Configuration of software, electronics, and hardware to meet customer needs.

  • Integration of vision system I/O (input/output) with existing equipment.

  • Regular on-site technical support for local Dallas area accounts.

  • Periodic on-site technical support of assigned accounts in the United States. 

  • Supporting partner channel service organizations in maintaining Videk equipment.  

  • Managing spare parts inventory to ensure uptime and replenishment of critical components.  

  • Providing remote or on-site pre-sales technical support for new vision system applications.  

  • Assisting marketing and communications with trade shows, customer demonstrations, and case studies. 

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other relevant Engineering discipline.

  • Knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and conditional logic.  

  • Strong organization and communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Flexibility to travel on short notice.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Base knowledge of machine vision systems or other industrial / manufacturing equipment.

  • Base knowledge of Linux systems, including networking and command line interface.

  • 1-2 years working in a customer-facing role.

  • Hands-on experience with basic hand tools.

Videk is currently seeking a Software Test Engineer to assist with testing some of the fastest and most powerful machine visions systems in the world.  The test engineer will be responsible for both quality assurance and technical writing for Videk Software.  The successful candidate should be comfortable with using Linux based software, building computers, and basic use of test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.  This position is full-time and located in Rochester NY.

Videk is currently seeking a Materials Coordinator and Shipping Specialist.  The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining computerized records of inventory, maintaining “just-in-time” inventory levels, and managing product packing and shipping logistics.  This position is full-time and located in Rochester NY.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Conduct annual physical inventory as well as reconciling inventory inaccuracies.

  • Maintain communications with internal ‘customers’, including production manager, service manager, technicians, purchasing, and finance.

  • Product packing process & Shipping in the ERP System-Packing list

  • Manage all company shipping and Material Handling of parts to the stockroom.

  • Receive shipments from the loading dock.

  • Prep for Procurement to receive into ERP system.

  • Material Handling. Moving Materials where needed and Received parts put into the stockroom.

  • Complete Shop orders into the ERP system from the appropriate Bills of Materials.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma, equivalency certificate, or proof of sufficient skills to fulfill essential functions.

  • 3-5 years of experience directly relating to Materials Coordination and Shipping Logistics.

  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

  • Experience processing Domestic and International Shipment Customs forms and following Harmonized Tariff regulations.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Barcode inventory systems for small business.

  • Previous certification as a forklift operator desirable but not required.
