Videk is currently seeking a Technical Writer to join our Product Development Group to implement and document the next generation of Videk vision products. In this position, you will work closely with an experienced and diverse team of hardware and software developers to analyze complex product information and document in simple manuals and guides that meet our customer’s requirements.  Hybrid office and work-from-home schedule is available for this position.  Candidates must be within commuting distance of Fairport NY so that they may gain firsthand product experience in Videk’s lab.

  • Develop deep understanding of Videk’s products

Minimum Qualifications

Technical Writer
Software Engineer

Videk is currently seeking a Systems Engineer with Sys Admin Specialization to help with the configuration and security of some of the most powerful machine vision systems in the world.  The engineer will be responsible for assisting with designing and implementing configurations, monitoring new security threats, and hardening Linux based systems.  This will involve being up to date on latest security flaws in the OS and other distributed software that are a part of Videk’s systems.   The target candidate should be comfortable with configuration and security of Red Hat Enterprise Linux based distributions (i.e. Alma Linux).  They should also have a firm grasp of Object-Oriented programming in C/C++ as well as strong communications skills.  This position is hybrid and will require the ability to commute to our office in Fairport NY on a regular basis.

  • Determine and define project scope, resource requirements and objectives

  • Lead from project definition through deployment, with schedules detailed project plans and understanding of risk. Risk mitigation is a key element.

  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage internal and external resources in an effective and efficient manner

  • Assist in eliminating scope creep and understanding where new opportunities exist.

  • Analyze project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, to ensure that project team adheres to project requirements

Program Manager

Videk is currently seeking a Network Security Engineer to assist with the design and implementation of network security protocols to meet compliance requirements.  The network security engineer will be responsible for maintaining, testing, and remediation of all security platforms.  The successful candidate should be comfortable with using Microsoft Windows Server operating system, cloud-based technologies such as Office 365 and AWS, and networking infrastructure and devices.  This position is full-time and located in Rochester NY.

Network Security Engineer

We are currently seeking a Level I Algorithm Engineer (Image Processing & Machine Learning) to join the Algorithm Development Group to implement state of the art image processing, computer vision and machine learning concepts to develop and enhance the next generation of Videk vision products. In this position you will work closely with an experienced and diverse team of developers to research and develop solution concepts, implement prototypes, and integrate them into the software platform. The primary focus of your work will be to explore machine learning and artificial intelligence-based solutions to provide the best cutting-edge performance! This position is full time and preferably at Videk HQ in Rochester NY, but hybrid / remote option also available.
